Teresa Albuquerque is an Assistant Professor with Habilitation in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. She is a senior researcher at the Institute of Earth Sciences (ICT), University of Évora and CERNAS, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. She obtained a Degree in Geology, Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, a Master in Mineralogy and Mining Planning, Higher Technical Institute of the University of Lisbon, a Ph.D. in Mining engineering, Higher Technical Institute of the University of Lisbon and the Habilitation in Earth and Space Sciences, University of Évora.

She is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications in international journals, in book chapters of international editions and at international and national conferences.

The undergoing research work focuses on the areas of Data Analysis and Stochastic Modelling (geostatistics) applied to the Environment, Geo-resources, Ecology and Public Health.
