I completed a MSc in Biochemistry in 2015 by the University of Beira Interior (UBI). My thesis was focused in gene therapy and DNA vaccines.

I am a technician in the Molecular Biology Laboratory from the Plant Biotechnology Center of Beira Interior (CBPBI), since 2018. Currently, my main research fields are population genetics and the general application of molecular markers to fingerprinting and relatedness, and to natural resources conservation.

I am part of the staff of the CULTIVAR project in the following lines of investigation:

  – Characterization of the populations of the Lavandula stoechas complex in the Beira Interior region using a molecular, chemical and morphological approach.

Cistus ladanifer provenance trial with genetic improvement and conservation objectives.

– Biodiversity conservation of the Asphodelus bento-rainhae subsp. bento-rainhae, in the Serra da Gardunha.
