In 2017, I completed a MSc in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), applied to agro-forestry and natural resources, in the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB-ESA). My thesis was focused on beekeeping suitability, using Open Source GIS, having three controlled beekeeping areas as a case study.

I am a full-time GIS analyst in the GIS Lab of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco – School of Agriculture, since 2007. I am also a collaborator researcher in the Research Unit Quality of Life in the Rural World (QRural) since 2018 and I recently joined the Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society (CERNAS-IPCB). In 2021, I started my PhD in Geography Paths in Physical Geography of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the University of Coimbra.

In the past years, I have integrated several international and national projects, mostly committed to agricultural and natural resources.
