In 2005 I completed my graduation in Biology in the University of Évora, and in 2014 a MSc in Applied Ecology from the University of Aveiro.

From 2008 I worked in environmental consultancy, where I worked on more than a hundred projects, mostly in Portugal, but also in Brazil, Mexico, Mozambique and Spain. I have experience both in fieldwork (mainly in the flora, vegetation and invasive flora, but also in the fauna, mainly herpeto and mamofauna), as well as in the analysis and interpretation of data (including in a GIS environment) and writing technical-scientific reports.

I am now starting my PhD in the University of Coimbra and Natural Resources, Environment and Society Studies Center (CERNAS-IPCB), where I will study the impact of climate change on Mediterranean species and their ability to adapt to new climate contexts. An ecological niche modelling approach in global warming scenarios will be used, having as reference different past scenarios.
